Peer-reviewed research on creatine monohydrate purity and efficacy in women

Creapure® has been the creatine of choice in numerous landmark clinical trials -  including a 2-year randomized controlled trial on postmenopausal bone health (University of Saskatchewan & University of Regina) specifically because its purity could be independently verified at 99.9%.

Study Spotlight

Study spotlight: The 2021 review "Creatine Supplementation in Women's Health: A Lifespan Perspective" (Smith-Ryan et al., Nutrients, PMC7998865) analyzed creatine's effects across pre-menopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal women. Key findings included improvements in lean body mass, strength, sprint recovery during the high-hormone menstrual phase, mood support through brain energy homeostasis, and bone geometric properties at the femoral neck.

A separate 2023 randomized, double-blind trial (PubMed ID 37630756) demonstrated that creatine monohydrate supplementation in active women improved fatigue index during the luteal phase, the high-hormone window where women most often experience performance drops, compared to placebo. This research supports the case for consistent daily supplementation rather than sporadic use.
